Writing Question of the Week

Hello, fellow freelancers - my apologies for the lack of updating lately.

This week's question: Where do you find writers markets online? Do you frequent a particular website for job leads? Which websites do you find you have the most luck discovering gigs that are actually worth your time?

The list can be as brief or as long as you want. Please feel free to leave your answers in the comments.

Best Wishes,

Denise

I am a ghostwriter for a web content provider. This is my bread and butter. I found the job through Deb Ng's Freelance Writing Blog.

I will occasionally visit Writer Wrangler if I'm bored but the pay is usually disappointing. However, I hear that this site is going to have a lot more gigs in the near future.

Thank you for the comment, Tammi.

I had forgotten about Writer Wrangler completely... probably because of the fact that the pay IS disappointing.

However, if the site plans to expand I may check it out just to satisfy my own curiosity.

Don't forget about the Absolute Write and Writer's Digest forums!

Many online post and bid boards exist (elance, guru come to mind), but I hear that a lot of writers find work through Craigslist. My blog and website seem to attract business for me.
