Writing Question of the Week: What Inspires You?

I want to know what inspires you. I want to get into your head for a moment, and decipher what, exactly, drives you to write.

Are you inspired by daily events? By magazines, newspapers, or television shows? I'd love to hear some feedback on what sets the writing wheels in motion.

Please feel free to leave a comment below. I'd love it if you share your thoughts.

Different things inspire me.

Some of my writing is about causes eg. I really don't like gambling.

Some of my writing is just stories that won't go out of my head until they are written down.

Sometimes, it's just nice contributing to a discussion - which is often a matter of just reaching out...

Rob,

Thank you. I definitely agree with you about stories you feel MUST be written. If a story refuses to leave my head, I know I better start writing.

Denise,

I found your blog from The Golden Pencil. The questions you pose are thought provoking and fun!

As for what inspires me, I just never know what will inspire me until the moment strikes. Last weekend, I was sitting in the car waiting for my husband to come out of the store and it became fuel for my next blog post.

Sometimes I am inspired by the beauty of nature, and other times by the values of man.

All I know, is that I am thankful and excited when inspiration strikes!

Thanks you for a great questions. Have a wonderful day!
